Frequently Asked Questions about Sue's Critter Care
What is your service area? I serve North Inland San Diego County area including: Rancho Bernardo, Poway, Carmel Mountain Ranch, 4S Ranch and Del Sur. When in doubt, call me!
How far in advance do I need to book? Like a hotel, the sooner the better, especially if your trip falls over peak travel days such as holidays, spring break, and summer. Typically, 3-4 weeks notice is best for peak times, while 2-3 weeks notice may be fine for all other days. I understand that emergencies come up and I will do my best to accommodate last minute clients. There is no fee for booking late. Please realize though that I can never guarantee availability.
Is the free consultation necessary? Yes. This allows me to meet you and your pets and for you and your pets to meet me. We will discuss your needs and go over all necessary information for the care of your pet and your house. This meeting usually takes about 30-40 minutes and any required paperwork is typically filled out then.
Are you insured? Yes, through Pet Sitters Associates, LLC.

Do you offer services in your home? Yes but only for well-qualified dogs. Please see the services page for more details.
What types of animals do you pet sit? Mainly cats and dogs, small mammals, birds, and some exotics depending on the care that is required. If I do not have experience with a certain type of animal, I will let you know. I am eager and willing to learn, but will leave the decision up to you.
